Go1 Content Integration

Go1 Content Integration

Overview

The Go1 Content Integration brings over 80,000 pieces of eLearning content from Go1's library directly into Learn Amp — giving you a vast, curated catalogue to browse, sync, and share with your learners without ever leaving the platform.

Once enabled, administrators can access the Go1 Content Hub directly from Learn Amp to browse and download content. This content then becomes part of your Learn Amp library and can be curated and shared just like any other content.

Go1 also manages the ongoing lifecycle of their content — meaning that if Go1 retires a piece of content from their catalogue, it will be automatically archived in Learn Amp. See How Go1 Content Retires from Your Library for full details.

Functionality Breakdown

Here's what the integration makes possible across the full content lifecycle:

Content Access

  • Browse over 80,000 pieces of content from Go1's curated library

  • Search by topic, provider, or keyword to find relevant content

  • Access content from global, regional, and specialised providers

Content Management

  • Download selected content into your Learn Amp library via the Go1 Content Hub

  • Sync content manually when you want to update your library

  • Curate and manage Go1 content with the same flexibility as other Learn Amp content

Content Distribution

  • Once synced, Go1 content appears in your Learn Amp library

  • Set visibility controls (hidden, selected users, groups, teams, or entire company)

  • Add Go1 content to learnlists and channels

  • Track completions and engagement just like other content

Content Lifecycle

  • Go1 manages their library actively — if Go1 flags content as approaching retirement, a Pending retirement status will appear on the Manage Items page so administrators can act before learners are affected

  • When Go1 fully retires a piece of content, Learn Amp automatically archives it from your library

  • Learner completion data and certificates are always preserved, even for archived content

  • See Managing Retired Go1 Content for guidance on monitoring and responding to Go1 retirement statuses

Learner accounts and content language

Go1 content is downloaded into your Learn Amp library and played from Learn Amp. Learners never browse or log in to Go1 themselves.

However, a Go1 account is created for each learner the first time they open a piece of Go1 content. This happens automatically and is what allows Go1 to track progress through their content. You may therefore see a number of user accounts in your own Go1 portal, even though your learners only ever use Learn Amp.

Content language is determined by the locale on that Go1 account, not by the learner's Learn Amp profile language. Learn Amp does not currently pass a learner's language when the content opens, so these accounts are created without a locale set. Where a course supports Go1 Intelligent Translations, it will fall back to its original language, usually English, rather than following the learner's Learn Amp language.

Offering Go1 content in more than one language

There are two approaches:

  • Set the locale on the Go1 accounts. Because the locale lives on the Go1 profile, setting it there changes the language the content plays in. Speak to Go1 about setting locales across your portal.

  • Upload a package per language onto a single item. Request a SCORM file for each language from Go1 and add them to one item, each against its language. Learners are then served the version matching their Learn Amp profile language, and anyone whose language has no package gets the closest available version rather than an error. Completion is tracked at item level whichever version they take. See Item Translations.

Syncing Go1's own language versions from the Content Hub will not achieve this on its own, because each Go1 course syncs in as a separate item.

Setup Instructions

Getting set up is straightforward — there's no technical configuration needed from you. Your Learn Amp Implementation or Success coach handles the enablement, and you just need to complete a couple of quick steps once it's active:

  1. Provide Proof of Purchase — Share proof of your Go1 licence purchase with your Implementation or Success coach

  2. Integration Enablement — Your coach will enable the integration in your Learn Amp account

  3. Complete Integration Setup — Once enabled, go to Content > Manage Libraries > Go1 in the sidebar to complete the setup by selecting your country and industry

  4. Start Using — Access the Go1 Content Hub to begin browsing and syncing content

After setup is complete, you can access the Go1 Content Hub anytime by navigating to Content > Manage Libraries > Go1 in the sidebar.

FAQs

Q: How do I access the Go1 Content Hub?

Navigate to Content > Manage Libraries > Go1 in the sidebar. Only users with Owner or Admin roles can access this interface.

Q: How do I sync content from Go1?

In the Go1 Content Hub, browse and select the courses you want, then add them to your library. Use the sync button to manually sync selected content into your Learn Amp library. There is no automatic daily sync — all syncing is done manually when you choose to update your content.

Q: How long does it take for synced content to appear in my Learn Amp library?

Content usually appears in your library within a few minutes of the sync completing. The exact timing can vary depending on the amount of content being synced — for larger batches, give it a little longer before checking.

Q: Can regular users search for Go1 content directly?

No. Regular users can only search for and consume content that has been downloaded into your Learn Amp library by administrators. They cannot access the Go1 catalogue directly.

Q: Why do I have user accounts in my Go1 portal when my learners only use Learn Amp?

A Go1 account is created for each learner the first time they open a piece of Go1 content. This is how Go1 tracks progress through their content. Your learners still access everything through Learn Amp.

Q: Why is Go1 content opening in English when the learner's Learn Amp language is set to something else?

Go1 determines content language from the locale on the learner's Go1 account, and Learn Amp does not currently pass a language when the content opens. The account is therefore created with no locale and the content falls back to its original language. See Learner accounts and content language above for the two ways to offer content in more than one language.

Q: What happens if Go1 retires a course?

If Go1 retires a piece of content from their library, Learn Amp will automatically archive it from your platform. Learners will immediately lose access, but all completion data and certificates are preserved. Administrators with the relevant permissions can view and restore the archived item if needed. Before a full retirement, Go1 may flag content as Pending retirement — this status is visible on the Manage Items page, giving you advance notice to find alternatives. For full details, see How Go1 Content Retires from Your Library and Managing Retired Go1 Content.

Q: Can I see which of my Go1 items are at risk of retirement?

Yes. Navigate to Content > Manage Items in the sidebar and filter by the Go1 source. The Go1 Status column will appear automatically, showing Live, Pending retirement, or Retired status for each item. This gives you a clear picture of your Go1 library's health without needing to contact Go1. See Managing Retired Go1 Content for a full guide.

Q: Is there a daily automatic sync?

No. The Go1 integration uses manual syncing only. Administrators control when content is synced by using the sync button in the Go1 Content Hub. This gives you full control over what content is added to your library and when.

Q: Can I control who sees Go1 content?

Yes. Once Go1 content is synced into your Learn Amp library, you can set visibility controls just like any other content. Options include hidden, selected users, groups, teams, or entire company visibility.

Q: What if I need help finding specific technical content?

A quick conversation with your technical teams before you sync can make a real difference — ask them what topics or skills they need, or get a list of keywords from them. That way, you're building a library that actually matches what your learners are looking for.

Troubleshooting

Issue

Solution

Issue

Solution

Can't access Go1 Content Hub

Ensure you have Owner or Admin role and the integration has been enabled by your Implementation/Success coach.

Sync button not working

Confirm the integration setup is complete (country and industry selected) and your Go1 licence is active.

Content not appearing after sync

Wait a few moments for the sync to complete, then refresh your library. Check if there were any errors during sync.

Users can't find Go1 content

Ensure content has been synced into your library and visibility settings allow those users to see it.

Content opens in the wrong language

Go1 takes the language from the locale on the learner's Go1 account, which Learn Amp does not set. See Learner accounts and content language above.

Archived items not visible

Use the Archived filter on the Manage Items page to view archived Go1 items, then unarchive as needed.

A Go1 item has disappeared unexpectedly

It may have been automatically retired by Go1. Apply the Archived filter on the Manage Items page and select Go1 as the source — retired items will show a red Retired badge. See How Go1 Content Retires from Your Library for guidance.
