Other SCIM User Provisioning

Overview

Okta and Microsoft Entra ID are our most established provisioning integrations, but they aren't the only options. Because Learn Amp's provisioning is built on SCIM 2.0 - an open, industry-standard protocol - any SCIM 2.0-compatible identity provider can, in principle, provision users into Learn Amp using the same /scim_v2 endpoint.

If your organisation uses a different identity provider (for example, OneLogin, Ping Identity, or JumpCloud), we'd love to hear about it. We can look at supporting it on request.

How It Works

Your identity provider connects to Learn Amp's standard SCIM 2.0 endpoint using a bearer token, exactly as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID do. Provided your provider sends the standard SCIM attributes (email, name, active status, job title, department, manager, hire date, and time zone), the underlying integration works the same way - so there's often no custom development involved at all.

Requesting a New Provider

1. Get in touch with your account manager or Learn Amp Support with the name of your identity provider.

2. Let us know whether you need only the standard attributes above, or anything custom (bespoke fields, unusual mappings, or specific provisioning behaviour).

3. We'll assess compatibility and confirm what's involved before you commit to anything.

Role Requirements

⚠️ A note on cost: provisioning from a provider that uses standard SCIM 2.0 attributes is usually straightforward and works out of the box. However, reviewing and enabling a provider we haven't supported before - especially where custom attribute mappings or bespoke provisioning logic are needed - may involve additional setup work, and could come at an additional cost. We'll always scope this with you and confirm any charges before proceeding, so there are no surprises.

Q: Which identity providers can you support?
Any provider that supports SCIM 2.0 provisioning is a candidate. We can't guarantee every provider in advance, so the best first step is to ask - we'll assess your specific provider quickly.

Q: Will it definitely cost extra?
Not necessarily. Standard SCIM 2.0 setups often need no custom work. Costs tend to come in only for bespoke, non-standard configurations - your account manager will confirm before any work begins.

Q: How long does it take to add a new provider?
It depends on whether standard attributes are enough or custom work is needed. We'll give you a realistic timescale once we've reviewed your requirements.
