Event Interest Registration
Overview
Event Interest Registration allows learners to express their interest in an event before any sessions are scheduled. This is particularly useful for gauging demand before committing to dates and venues, or for events where the schedule depends on participant availability.
When you create an Unscheduled Event, learners can register their interest rather than enrolling. Once you're ready to schedule sessions, you'll have a ready-made list of interested learners to invite.
Functionality Breakdown
How Interest Registration Works
Administrator creates an Unscheduled Event – No sessions, just the event details
Learners register interest – They click "I'm Interested" on the event page
Interest list builds – Administrators can view and manage all interested users
Sessions get scheduled – When ready, sessions are added to the event
Interested users are notified – Administrators can bulk-notify interested learners or auto-suggest them for enrolment
What Learners See
When viewing an Unscheduled Event, learners see:
Event title, description, and details
An "I'm Interested" button (instead of "Enrol")
Once registered, they see "Interested" status and can withdraw if they change their mind
What Administrators See
Administrators managing an Unscheduled Event can:
View a complete list of interested users with registration dates
Filter and search the interested users list
