Quick Start Guide

Creating a Post

  1. Navigate to your Community via the sidebar and select the Feed tab

  2. Click in the text area at the top of the Feed

  3. Write your message

  4. Optionally, add media:

Want to add media? You can:
* Click the image icon to upload a photo
* Click the video icon to add a video
* Paste a URL to generate a link preview

  1. Click Post to publish

💡 Tip: Keep posts focused and scannable. Use short paragraphs and bullet points for longer updates.

Adding Images and Videos

To add an image:

  1. Click the image icon in the post composer

  2. Select a file from your device (JPG, PNG, or GIF)

  3. The image will appear as a preview before posting

To add a video:

  1. Click the video icon in the post composer

  2. Upload your video file

  3. A thumbnail preview will generate automatically

⚠️ Warning: Large video files may take longer to upload. Consider compressing videos before sharing.

Sharing Links with Previews

When you paste a URL into a post, Learn Amp automatically generates a rich preview:

  1. Copy a URL from your browser

  2. Paste it into the post composer

  3. Wait a moment for the preview to load

  4. The preview shows the page title, description, and image

💡 Tip: If a link preview doesn't appear as expected, try pasting the full URL including https://.

Using @Mentions

Tag community members to notify them about a post:

  1. Type @ followed by the person's name (no space after @)

  2. A dropdown appears with matching members

  3. Select the person from the list

  4. They'll receive a notification about your post

💡 Tip: You can @mention multiple people in a single post.

Notifying a Whole Team with @team

To mention an entire team and notify all its active members:

  1. Type @ followed by the team name (e.g. @Marketing or @Onboarding Cohort)

  2. Teams appear in the mention dropdown alongside individual members

  3. Select the team from the list

  4. All active members of that team will receive a notification

💡 Tip: @team mentions work across all mention-enabled areas in Learn Amp — not just the Social Feed.

Notifying Everyone with @here

Use @here to send a notification to all active members of the current Community:

  1. Type @here in the post composer

  2. Select Notify everyone in this community from the dropdown

  3. Complete your post and click Post

  4. All active Community members will receive a notification

⚠️ Warning: @here notifies everyone active in the Community. Use it for important announcements rather than routine updates, to avoid notification fatigue.

Liking and Commenting

To like a post:

  • Click the heart icon beneath any post

To comment on a post:

  1. Click Comment or the comment icon beneath a post

  2. Write your reply

  3. Click Post to publish your comment

Comments appear in chronological order, with the newest at the top.

  3. Results update as you type

  4. Click a post to view it in context

Moderating the Feed

Owners and Admins have additional tools to keep the Feed organised and on track.

Pinning Posts

Pinned posts stay at the top of the Feed, making them ideal for announcements or important resources.

To pin a post:

  1. Find the post you want to pin

  2. Click the three dots menu (⋮) on the post

  3. Select Pin post

  4. The post moves to the top with a pin indicator

To unpin a post:

  1. Click the three dots menu on the pinned post

  2. Select Unpin post

💡 Tip: Only pin essential content. Too many pinned posts can make the Feed feel cluttered.

Deleting Posts and Comments

To delete your own post:

  1. Click the three dots menu on your post

  2. Select Delete

  3. Confirm the deletion

To delete someone else's post (Owners/Admins only):

  1. Click the three dots menu on the post

  2. Select Delete

  3. Confirm the deletion

⚠️ Warning: Deleted posts cannot be recovered. Consider whether a conversation is needed before removing content.

FAQs

Q: Can I edit a post after publishing?
Not yet — editing published posts isn't supported. If you need to make a change, delete the post and create a new one.

Q: How many images can I add to a single post?
You can add one image per post. For multiple images, consider creating separate posts or using a document sharing service.

Q: Why isn't my @mention working?
Ensure you type @ directly followed by the name without a space. For individual members, they must also be a member of the community to appear in the dropdown.

Q: Can I @mention a team that isn't part of this Community?
Yes. @team mentions work across all mention-enabled areas, so you can mention any team whose members have access. They'll receive notifications regardless of whether they're Community members.

Yes. Click on the like count to see a list of members who liked the post.

Q: How do I turn off Feed notifications?

Q: Can learners post to the Feed?
