Bulk Mark Attendance
Overview
Bulk Mark Attendance lets administrators mark multiple learners as attended in a single action, saving time when processing attendance for large sessions. Instead of clicking through each learner individually, select users or teams and mark them all as attended at once.
This is especially useful for in-person events where attendance was tracked externally (sign-in sheets, badge scans) and needs to be recorded in Learn Amp efficiently.

FAQs
What happens to users who were already marked as attended?
They're skipped—their existing attendance record isn't duplicated or modified.
Can I bulk mark "Did Not Attend"?
Currently, bulk actions mark users as attended. To mark non-attendance, you'll need to update individual enrolments.
Are users notified when bulk marked as attended?
Standard attendance notifications are sent just as they would be for individual marking.
What if a user wasn't enrolled before bulk marking?
They're automatically enrolled and marked as attended in one step.
Can I undo bulk attendance marking?
You would need to update individual attendance records to change them. There's no single "undo" action for bulk operations.
Does bulk attendance work for virtual sessions?
Yes, though virtual sessions with automatic attendance tracking (Zoom/MS Teams) typically don't need manual bulk marking.
Can managers use bulk mark attendance?
This feature is typically restricted to Admins and Owners to prevent accidental mass updates.
What's the maximum number of users I can bulk mark?
There's no strict limit, but very large selections may take a few moments to process.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Bulk complete option not visible | Verify you have Admin or Owner role. Check the session exists. |
Some users weren't marked | They may have already been marked, or there may be validation issues. Check individual records. |
CPD points not awarded | Verify the session has CPD points configured. Check attendance was successfully marked. |
Can't select certain teams | Verify you have access to those teams. Check the teams have active members. |
Process seems slow | Large bulk operations take time. Wait for confirmation before navigating away. |
Certificate not issued after bulk marking | Verify Auto-Assign Certificates is enabled on the event. Check the certificate configuration. |
