💡 Tip: Keep skill names concise and consistent. "Project Management" is better than "Managing Projects and Programmes Effectively".

To disable a skill:
Find the enabled skill in the list
Click the three-dot menu (⋮)

FAQs
Q: Can I delete a skill entirely?
Yes, but use caution. Deleting a skill removes all associated data including user ratings. Consider disabling instead to preserve historical data.
Q: How many skills should we have?
There's no magic number. Focus on skills relevant to your organisation. Quality over quantity—a focused library of 50–100 well-defined skills is often more useful than hundreds of vague ones.
Q: Can I rename a skill without losing data?
Yes. Editing a skill's name preserves all existing ratings and associations.
Q: What happens if I disable a skill someone has rated?
Their rating is preserved, but the skill won't appear when they try to add new skills. They won't lose their existing data.
Q: Can skills have multiple names or translations?
Yes. Skills support translations for multi-language environments. Access translation settings when editing a skill.
Troubleshooting

Can't create new skills | Ensure you have Owner or Admin role. Navigate to Manage → Skills. |
Skill changes not saving | Check for validation errors. Skill names must be unique within your company. |
Users can't see a skill I just created | New skills are disabled by default. Enable the skill to make it available. |
